SL Ventures operates Plainboard. This notice describes information used to provide the job board, publish listings, and prevent abuse. Employers and the hosting platform have separate privacy practices.

1. Browsing and applying

You do not create a Plainboard candidate account to browse. Private site access may separately require platform sign-in. Search and filters run in your browser. For active vacancies, applying opens your email app so you can send a message directly to the employer. Plainboard does not receive your resume, attachments, or application message.

2. Employer information

When you post a job, we store your company name, optional company website and contact name, job details, work arrangement, compensation if supplied, work email address, and selected application method. We also store listing status and dates, verification and management token hashes, email delivery records, and your separate hiring-updates consent choice with its time, wording version, and source.

Your work email and contact name are used to verify and manage the listing and are not published. If you choose “Use my work email for applications,” that address is disclosed only when a candidate chooses to apply or copy it. A separate application email is handled the same way. Public job details and external application URLs are visible to visitors. Avoid private information in descriptions.

3. Weekly job digest

If you subscribe, we store your email address and subscription date to send the Plainboard weekly job digest. The digest may include clearly identified sponsored content. We do not give or sell subscriber email addresses to sponsors. You can unsubscribe using the link included in each newsletter.

4. Security and usage

We use hashed identifiers derived from request IP addresses for temporary rate limits, count email reveals per listing, and may maintain moderation blocklists. Plainboard does not include advertising trackers, set advertising cookies, or create candidate tracking profiles. Hosting and sign-in services may use their own cookies and operational logs.

5. Service providers

The site is hosted through OpenAI Sites using Cloudflare infrastructure. When email delivery is configured, Resend receives recipient addresses and email content to deliver newsletters, verification, management, and reminder emails. Processing may take place outside your country. See the providers’ own notices: OpenAI, Cloudflare, and Resend.

6. Retention and deletion

Newsletter subscriber addresses are retained while the subscription is active and removed or suppressed after an unsubscribe request. Verification links expire after 48 hours. Published roles stop accepting applications after 30 days unless renewed. Expired or closed listings remain manageable until deleted. Deleting through your management link removes the listing, its application address, and its associated email delivery records from the board’s database.

Expired unverified submissions and temporary access and rate-limit records are removed when maintenance runs; expiry does not guarantee immediate deletion. Providers may retain logs or backups under their own policies. Deletion cannot remove copies held by visitors, employers, or email providers.

7. Your choices

Use the unsubscribe link in a Plainboard digest to stop newsletter emails. Use your private management link to review, correct, close, or delete a listing. Keep this link secure. Choose what you send to an employer and contact that employer about data sent directly to them. Privacy rights may vary with applicable law.
