Simple ground rules.

Plainboard is operated by SL Ventures (“we”, “us”). By using the board, you agree to these terms.

1. Our service

We help people discover startup roles and contact hiring teams directly. SL Ventures operates the board; it does not make hiring decisions or guarantee interviews, employment, or the accuracy of third-party listings. Browsing and posting are currently free.

2. Genuine opportunities

Only publish if you are authorized to recruit for the named startup and use the application email address. Describe the work, location, employment type, and any compensation accurately. Keep your post current and close filled roles.

Scams, impersonation, misleading compensation, unlawful discrimination, applicant fees, and recruitment or staffing agency advertisements are not permitted. Do not publish confidential information or personal data without permission.

3. Publishing and management

When posting is available, verify your email before your role can go live. Verification links expire after 48 hours. Some submissions require moderation. Published roles stay active for 30 days unless closed or removed earlier. Your private management link lets you edit, close, renew eligible listings, and delete them. Anyone with this link can manage the listing, so keep it secure.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of submitted content and give SL Ventures permission to store, display, and format it as needed to operate and moderate the board while it remains on the service. You are responsible for having the necessary rights to it.

5. Applications and external websites

You send applications through your own email service directly to the employer. Plainboard does not collect resumes or process applications. Employers are responsible for hiring and their handling of applicant information. Check the employer before sharing information. External websites have their own terms and privacy practices.

6. Fair use

Do not spam the service, harvest email addresses, bypass access controls, misuse private links, or disrupt the board. We may review, restrict, or remove content or access to address misuse, enforce these terms, or comply with applicable requirements. Email verification confirms inbox access, not employer legitimacy.

7. Preview and availability

Sample listings are illustrative, not active vacancies, and cannot receive applications. Posting may be unavailable while email delivery is being configured. Features and availability may change; uninterrupted access is not guaranteed. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
